Egg Production Statistics, Q2 2018

- 36.9 million kilos of eggs were produced during January–June, which is 1% less than during the corresponding period of 2017.
- The volumes of eggs produced in enriched cages declined (-2%) and barn- and free range hen houses (-3%), while the volume of organic egg increased (+14%).
- 59% of eggs were produced in enriched cages, 32% in barn range hen houses, 2% free range hen houses and 7% came from organic poultry farms.
