Egg Production Statistics, Q1 2018

- 18.6 million kilos of eggs were produced during January–March, which is 2% less than during the corresponding period of 2017.
- The volumes of eggs produced in enriched cages declined (-2%) and barn- and free range hen houses (-4%), while the volume of organic egg increased (+11%).
- 59% of eggs were produced in enriched cages, 33% in barn range hen houses, 2% free range hen houses and 6% came from organic poultry farms.
