Egg Production Statistics, Q1 2020

19 million kilos of eggs were produced during January-March, which is 1% less than during corresponding period of 2019.
The volumes of eggs produced in enriched cages declined (-6%). The volumes increased in barn range hen houses (+4%) and free range hen houses (+8%). Organic eggs were produced same volume than during corresponding period of 2019.
56% of eggs were produced in enriched cages, 34% in barn range hen houses, 3% free range hen houses and 7% came from organic poultry farms.
