Egg Production Statistics, Q1 2019

19 million kilos of eggs were produced during January-March, which is 3% more than during corresponding period of 2018.
The volumes of eggs produced in enriched cages declined (-1%). The volume increased in barn range hen houses (+1%) and free range hen houses (+14%). The volume of organic egg increased too (+26%).
58% of eggs were produced in enriched cages, 32% in barn range hen houses, 3% free range hen houses and 7% came from organic poultry farms.
