19 million kilos of eggs were produced during January–March, which is 4% more than during the corresponding period of 2016.
The volumes of eggs produced in barn- and free range hen houses increased (+21%) and organic eggs (+12%), while the volume of enriched cages declined (-3%).
59% of eggs were produced in enriched cages, 36% in barn- and free range hen houses and 5% came from organic poultry farms.
