Egg Production Statistics, Q4 2016

- 72.6 million kilos of eggs were produced last year, which is just under 2% more than in previous year.
- The volumes of eggs produced by enriched cages increased (+1%) and organic eggs (+6%), while the volume of barn-type hen houses declined (-1%).
- 63% of eggs were produced in enriched cages, 32% in barn-type hen houses and 5% came from organic poultry farms.
