Energywood harvesting data for January–December 2025, revised on 23 March 2026

In July, 3.3 million cubic meters of roundwood was harvested for industrial use. The volume of removals was 14% lower than in July of the previous year and 2% lower than the five-year average. From January to July, a total of 34.7 million cubic meters of industrial roundwood was harvested. This was 5% more than a year earlier

Industrial wood

  • Sawlog removals was 1.4 million and pulpwood removals 1.9 million cubic metres
  • Industrial roundwood removals from non-industrial private forests totaled 2.5 million cubic meters marking a 14% decrease compared to the previous year.
  • Industrial roundwood removals from forest industry companies’ forests and state-owned forests was 0.8 million cubic metres, down by 13% from the previous year.

Energywood

  • Energywood removals was 0.5 million cubic metres. Of this amount 41% were delimbed stems and whole-trees. In January-July, a total of 4.6 million cubic metres of energy wood was harvested
