Energywood harvesting data for January–December 2025, revised on 23 March 2026

In June, 4.2 million cubic meters of roundwood was harvested for industrial use. The volume of removals was 4% higher than in June of the previous year and 1% higher than the five-year average. From January to June, a total of 31.5 million cubic meters of industrial roundwood was harvested. This was 7% more than a year earlier

Industrial wood

  • Sawlog removals was 1.9 million and pulpwood removals 2.3 million cubic metres
  • Industrial roundwood removals from non-industrial private forests totaled 3.4 million cubic meters marking a 7% increase compared to the previous year.
  • Industrial roundwood removals from forest industry companies’ forests and state-owned forests was 0.9 million cubic metres, down by 5% from the previous year.

Energywood

  • Energywood removals was 0.9 million cubic metres. Of this amount 47% were delimbed stems and whole-trees. In January-June, a total of 4.0 million cubic metres of energy wood was harvested.
