Energywood harvesting data for January–December 2025, revised on 23 March 2026

In May, 3.7 million cubic meters of roundwood was harvested for industrial use. The volume of removals was 16% higher than in May of the previous year, but 2% lower than the five-year average. From January to May, a total of 27.2 million cubic meters of industrial roundwood was harvested. This was 8% more than a year earlier

Industrial wood

  • Sawlog removals was 1.8 million and pulpwood removals 1.9 million cubic metres
  • Industrial roundwood removals from non-industrial private forests totaled 2.8 million cubic meters and an increase of 22% compared to the previous year.
  • Industrial roundwood removals from forest industry companies’ forests and state-owned forests was 0.8 million cubic metres, down by 1% from the previous year.

Energywood

  • Energywood removals was 0.6 million cubic metres. Of this amount 42% were delimbed stems and whole-trees. In January–April, a total of 3.2 million cubic metres of energy wood was harvested
