Energywood harvesting data for January–December 2025, revised on 23 March 2026

In March a total of 6.5 million cubic metres of industrial roundwood was harvested, which was two percent less than in March of the previous year and 4% lower than the five-year average. From January to March, a total of 18.2 million cubic metres of industrial roundwood had been harvested, which was seven percent less than in the previous year. 

Industrial roundwood

  • In March, 2.6 million cubic meters of sawlogs was harvested (-5% from the previous year) and 3.9 million cubic meters of pulpwood (-1%).
  • From private forests, 5.3 million cubic meters of industrial roundwood was harvested (-4%).
  • From forest industry companies’ own forests and state-owned forests, 1.2 million cubic meters of industrial roundwood was harvested (+6%).

Energywood

  • In March, 0.7 million cubic metres of energywood were harvested (+9%). Of this amount, 71 percent consisted of delimbed stems and whole trees.
  • From January to March a total of 1.8 million cubic metres of energywood had been harvested (-15%)
