Energywood harvesting data for January–December 2025, revised on 23 March 2026

In March a total of 6.5 million cubic metres of industrial roundwood was harvested, which was two percent less than in March of the previous year and 4% lower than the five-year average. From January to March, a total of 18.2 million cubic metres of industrial roundwood had been harvested, which was seven percent less than in the previous year.

Industrial roundwood

In March, 2.6 million cubic meters of sawlogs was harvested (-5% from the previous year) and 3.9 million cubic meters of pulpwood (-1%).
From private forests, 5.3 million cubic meters of industrial roundwood was harvested (-4%).
From forest industry companies’ own forests and state-owned forests, 1.2 million cubic meters of industrial roundwood was harvested (+6%).

Energywood

In March, 0.7 million cubic metres of energywood were harvested (+9%). Of this amount, 71 percent consisted of delimbed stems and whole trees.
From January to March a total of 1.8 million cubic metres of energywood had been harvested (-15%)
