In February, 6.3 million cubic meters of roundwood was harvested for industrial use. The volume of removals was 5% higher than in February of the previous year and 11% higher than the five-year average. From January to February, a total of 12.9 million cubic meters of industrial roundwood were harvested, exceeding last year's removal by 10%.

  • The removals of sawlogs was 2.6 million cubic metres and pulpwood removals 3.7 million cubic metres.
  • Industrial roundwood removals from non-industrial private forests totaled 5.3 million cubic meters, an increase of 6% compared to the previous year.
  • Industrial roundwood removals from forest industry companies’ forests and state-owned forests was 1,0 million cubic metres, up by 1% from the previous year.
  • Energywood removals was 0.8 million cubic metres. Of this amount 57% were delimbed stems and whole-trees. In January-February, a total of 1.5 million cubic meters of energy wood had been harvested.
