In November, 5.1 million cubic meters of roundwood was harvested for industrial use. The volume of removals was 9% lower than the average for the previous five years. From January to November, the total volume of roundwood harvested was 3% higher than during the same period last year.

  • The removals of sawlogs was 2.6 million cubic metres and pulpwood removals 2.5 million cubic metres.
  • Industrial roundwood removals from non-industrial private forests were 3.9 million cubic metres, which was 5% less than in the previous year.
  • Industrial roundwood removals from forest industry companies’ forests and state-owned forests were 1,1 million cubic metres, which was at the same level as in the previous year.
  • Energywood removals was 417,000 cubic metres. Of this amount 63% were delimbed stems and whole-trees.
