The volume of industrial roundwood removals (6.2 mil.m3) in October was higher than usual. It was 0.8 million cubic metres higher than in October last year. In January-October, 1.8 million cubic metres more industrial roundwood was harvested than in the previous year.

  • Sawlog removals amounted to 3.1 million cubic metres and pulpwood removals to 3.1 million cubic metres.
  • Industrial roundwood removals from non-industrial private forests amounted to 4.9 million cubic metres, 18% more than in the previous year.
  • Industrial roundwood removals from forest industry companies’ forests and state-owned forests amounted to 1.3 million cubic metres, 9% more than in the previous year.
  • Energywood removals totalled 541,000 cubic metres. Half of this amount consisted of delimbed stems and whole-trees.
