Commercial fellings, 10/2024

The volume of industrial roundwood removals (6.2 mil.m3) in October was higher than usual. It was 0.8 million cubic metres higher than in October last year. In January-October, 1.8 million cubic metres more industrial roundwood was harvested than in the previous year.

Sawlog removals amounted to 3.1 million cubic metres and pulpwood removals to 3.1 million cubic metres.
Industrial roundwood removals from non-industrial private forests amounted to 4.9 million cubic metres, 18% more than in the previous year.
Industrial roundwood removals from forest industry companies’ forests and state-owned forests amounted to 1.3 million cubic metres, 9% more than in the previous year.
Energywood removals totalled 541,000 cubic metres. Half of this amount consisted of delimbed stems and whole-trees.
