Finland’s 2.3 million hectare arable land area’s major changes in 2013 were transition from oilseeds (-15,700 ha), fallow (-13,300 ha) to barley (+ 30,400 ha)

• Grain cultivation area, 1,178,500 hectares, increased by 25,000ha
• Barley area, 533,300 hectares, increased by 30,400hectares
• Turnip rape area, 36,700 hectares, decreased 16,700 ha
