Producer prices for fish species with catch quotas, 3rd quarter 2020

  • The total price of Baltic Herring rose to EUR 0,22 per kilo, which was slightly above the price in the second quarter (EUR 0,21 per kilo).
  • The price of Baltic Herring intended for human consumption rose, when compared to other quarters of 2020. Majority of the Herring catch intended for human usage consisted of larger fish, which has substantially higher price. The total catch of Baltic herring intended for human consumption was small compared to other quarters.
  • The price of Baltic Herring intended for industrial use rose to 0.19 EUR per kilo.
  • The price of sprat was EUR 0.19 per kilo, which was the same as in the first and second quarter of 2020.
  • The price of gutted salmon declined to EUR 5.84 per kilo, which was below the average annual price (EUR 6.07 per kilo) during 2019.
