Producer prices for fish species with catch quotas, 1st quarter 2020

Producer price of fish species covered by fishing quotas in January–March 2020

• The total price of Baltic Herring remained the same (EUR 0.22 per kilo) as in the last quarter of 2019.
• The price of Baltic Herring intended for human consumption declined to EUR 0.33 per kilo, which was approximately the same as during the first quarter of 2019.
• The price of Baltic Herring intended for industrial use remained the same as in the last quarter of 2019, being EUR 0.18 per kilo.
• The price of sprat was EUR 0.19 per kilo. The majority of the sprat catch is used as feed.
