Number of livestock in spring of 2012

- The number of poultry and sheep on the farm grew from last year. The number of pigs dropped slightly.
- The poultry included altogether 10,8 million animals on 1,160 farms. There were 3.17 million chickens and 6,04 million broilers.
- The number of pigs went slightly down from the previous year to about 1.29 million pigs. The number of sows decreased by 7% from previous year.
- There were about 130.000 sheep on 1,470 farms.
