- The total number of bovine animals was 908,900 at 1 December 2010.
- The number of dairy cows decreased by 0.5%, while the number of suckler cows increased by 5%.
- The number of pigs went slightly down from the previous year to about 1.34 million pigs.
- The number of sows decreased by 6 per cent during the year.
