Milk and Milk Product Statistics, 9/2022 (provisional)

Milk production in January-September was two per cent lower than a year ago. In September, production fell by 2% to 169 million litres. There were 4 680 milk producers in September.

Production volumes of liquid dairy products, butter and cheese fell in September.

Compared to previous year, in January-September 2022:

• Milk production:  - 2%
• Production of liquid dairy products: - 4%
• Butter production:  - 4%
• Cheese production:   - 1%
   

Data on production volumes of yoghurts and other fresh products in January-August have been corrected.
