Meat Production by Area 2014 (beef and pork)

  • Beef production rose to about 82 million kilos in 2014. Production increased in many ELY Centre regions.
  • The most beef was produced in Kiuruvesi (3.4 million kg), Kauhava (1.9 million kg) and Siikajoki (1.6 million kg).
  • Pork production fell to 186 million kilos in 2014. Production decreased almost all ELY Centres regions.
  • The most pork was produced in Huittinen (12 million kg), Loimaa (11.8 million kg) and Ilmajoki (9.8 million kg).
