Meat Production by Area 2012 (beef and pork)

- Beef production totalled more than 80 million kilos, which represents a decrease of nearly 3 per cent from 2011.
- As in the previous year, the largest amounts of beef were produced in Kiuruvesi (just under 3 million kg).
- Pork production declined for the fourth year running. In 2012, production amounted to 193 million kilos.
- The largest pork-producing municipality was Huittinen (just over 12 million kilos of pork).
