  • Beef production fell to about 80 million kilos in 2008.
  • Over a quarter of all beef was produced on farms in Northern Ostrobothnia and Northern Savo.
  • Kiuruvesi was the municipality that produced the most beef.
  • Pork production rose to 217 million kilos in 2008.
  • Almost 60 per cent of all pork was produced in the Employment and Economic Development Centres of Southwestern Finland, Ostrobothnia and Southern Ostrobothnia.
  • The most pork was produced in Ilmajoki.
  • Mutton production increased slightly on 2007.
  • Mutton production is centred on the Åland Islands and Lapland.
  • The top municipality for mutton production was Jomala.
