Meat production 8/2022 (provisional)

Meat production in January-August was almost the same as in the same period last year. Poultry meat production increased and beef and sheep meat production decreased. Pork production was almost unchanged.

In August 2022, year-on-year:

• Beef production: + 3 %
• Pork production: + 6 %
• Poultry meat production: + 2 %
• Mutton production: - 27 %

In January-August 2022, year-on-year:

• Beef production: - 1 %
• Pork production: 0 %
• Poultry meat production: + 2 %
• Mutton production: - 7 %

Slaughter numbers for suckler cows in 2022 are not comparable with previous years.
