Meat production 2025

Last year, just under 402 million kilos of meat were produced. The amount increased by one percent compared with the previous year. Poultry production once again reached a new record, driven by growth in broiler meat production. Turkey meat production, however, declined. Pork production also increased, while beef production fell by six percent compared with 2024. The decline in lamb meat production continued last year.

Production of organic beef and organic lamb increased, while production of organic pork decreased in 2025.

• Beef production 81 million kilos (‑6%)
• Pork production 164 million kilos (+2%)
• Poultry meat production 155 million kilos (+4%)
• Lamb meat production 1 million kilos (‑4%)
