  • Agricultural and horticultural production consumed a total of 11,381 GWh of energy in 2016
  • The most significant individual energy sources were wood chips (3,017 GWh), motor fuel oil (2,451 GWh) and electricity (1 727 GWh)
  • Consumption of heating fuel oil continued to decrease (206 GWh in year 2016)
  • Share on renewable energy (wood and field biomass) was 44%  
  • Agriculture and horticulture consumed 3 percent of Finland's total energy consumption.
