Egg Production Statistics, Q4 2015

- 71.5 million kilos of eggs were produced during last year, which is 7% more than in the previous year.
- The volume of eggs produced caged hens and barn-type hen houses rose 7% and volumes of eggs produced organic rose 11%.
- 62 per cent of the eggs were produced in hen houses with enriched cages, 33 per cent in barn-type and free-range hen houses and 5 percent in organic hen houses.
