Egg Production Statistics, Q3 2015

- 53 million kilos of eggs were produced during January–September, which is 6% more than during the corresponding period of 2014.
- The volume of eggs produced caged hens and barn-type hen houses rose 7% and volumes of eggs produced organic rose 8%.
- 62 per cent of the eggs were produced in hen houses with enriched cages, 33 per cent in barn-type and free-range hen houses and 5 percent in organic hen houses.
