Energywood harvesting data for January–December 2025, revised on 23 March 2026

In August, 5.2 million cubic metres of wood was harvested for industrial use. The volume was one per cent lower than in the previous year and three per cent lower than the average for August over the preceding five years. In January–August, a total of 38.2 million cubic metres of industrial roundwood was harvested, four per cent less than in the previous year.

Industrial roundwood

In August, 2.4 million cubic metres of logs (+1% from the previous year) and 2.8 million cubic metres of pulpwood (−2%) were harvested.
From private forests, 4.0 million cubic metres of industrial roundwood was harvested (-3%).
A total of 1.2 million cubic metres of industrial roundwood was harvested from forests owned by forest industry companies and from state forests (+9%).

Energywood

A total of 0.5 million cubic metres of energywood was harvested (−19%). Of the energywood harvested, 48% consisted of delimbed stems and whole trees.
In January–August, a total of 4.2 million cubic metres of energywood was harvested (−19%).
