Energywood harvesting data for January–December 2025, revised on 23 March 2026

In July 3.5 million cubic meters of wood was harvested for industrial use. The harvesting volume was nine percent higher than in July of the previous year and seven percent higher than the average for the previous five years. From January to July, a total of 33.0 million cubic meters of industrial wood had been harvested, which was five percent less than a year earlier.

Industrial roundwood

In July, 1.6 million cubic meters of sawlogs was harvested (+16% from the previous year) and 1.9 million cubic meters of pulpwood (+3%).
From private forests, 2.6 million cubic meters of industrial roundwood was harvested (+6%).
From forest industry companies’ own forests and state-owned forests, 0.9 million cubic meters of industrial roundwood was harvested (+18%).

Energywood

In July, 0.4 million cubic meters of energywood was harvested (-26%). Of this amount, 46 percent consisted of delimbed stems and whole trees.
From January to July a total of 3.7 million cubic meters of energywood had been harvested (-19%).
