Commercial fellings, 8/2024

In August 2024, 4,9 million cubic meters of industrial roundwood were harvested. The volume of removals was 8% lower than the average for the previous five years. The volume of industrial roundwood harvested in January-August, 38.1 million cubic metres, was on level with the previous year.

The removals of sawlogs were 2.4 million cubic metres and pulpwood removals 2.5 million cubic metres.
Industrial roundwood removals from non-industrial private forests were 3.8 million cubic metres, 4% more than in the previous year.
Industrial roundwood removals from forest industry companies’ forests and state-owned forests were 1.2 million cubic metres, the volume of removals was the same as in August last year.
Energywood removals was 560,000 cubic metres. Of this amount 40% were delimbed stems and whole-trees.
