In August 2024, 4,9 million cubic meters of industrial roundwood were harvested. The volume of removals was 8% lower than the average for the previous five years. The volume of industrial roundwood harvested in January-August, 38.1 million cubic metres, was on level with the previous year.

  • The removals of sawlogs were 2.4 million cubic metres and pulpwood removals 2.5 million cubic metres.
  • Industrial roundwood removals from non-industrial private forests were 3.8 million cubic metres, 4% more than in the previous year.
  • Industrial roundwood removals from forest industry companies’ forests and state-owned forests were 1.2 million cubic metres, the volume of removals was the same as in August last year.
  • Energywood removals was 560,000 cubic metres. Of this amount 40% were delimbed stems and whole-trees.
