Commercial fellings, 6/2024

In June 2024, 4.1 million cubic meters of roundwood was harvested for industrial use. The volume of removals was 4% higher than in June last year and 3% less than the average for the previous five years. Removals in the first half of the year were 1.2 million cubic metres behind last year, totaling 29.4 million cubic metres.

The removals of sawlogs were 2.0 million cubic metres and pulpwood removals 2.1 million cubic metres.
Industrial roundwood removals from non-industrial private forests were 3.1 million cubic metres, which was 3% more than in the previous year.
Industrial roundwood removals from forest industry companies’ forests and state-owned forests were 0.9 million cubic metres, up 8% on the previous year.
Energywood removals was 713,000 cubic metres. Of this amount 35% were delimbed stems and whole-trees.
