  • In January 2022, a total of 5.7 million cubic metres of roundwood was harvested for industrial use. The removal volume was the same as the previous year and 6% less than the volume in January in the previous five years.
  • Sawlog removals were 2.4 million and pulpwood removals 3.4 million cubic metres. Compared with the average in January in the previous five years, sawlog removals were 6% and pulpwood removals 5% lower.
  • Industrial roundwood removals from non-industrial private forests were 4.9 million cubic metres. Standing sales accounted for 4.5 million and delivery sales for 0.4 million cubic metres.
  • The felling volume in forest industry companies’ forests and state-owned forests was 0.8 million cubic metres, up by 1% from the year before.
  • Energywood removals totalled 369,000 cubic metres, of which delimbed stems and whole-trees made up 283,000 cubic metres.
