In November, a total of 5.3 million cubic metres of roundwood was harvested for industrial use. Compared to last year's November, the removal volume was 14% lower. In January-November, a total of 53.6 million cubic metres of industrial wood was harvested. This removal volume was down 7% from the five-year average.

  • Sawlogs accounted for 2.6 million m³ and pulpwood for 2.7 million m³ of the industrial roundwood removals.
  • Industrial roundwood removals from non-industrial private forests were 4.1 million cubic metres, down by 15% from the year before.
  • The removal volume in forest industry companies’ forests and state-owned forests was 1.1 million cubic metres, down by 8% from the year before.
  • Energywood removals totalled 383,000 cubic metres, with delimbed stems and whole trees comprising 63% of this amount.
