In November 2022, a total of 6.1 million cubic metres of roundwood was harvested for industrial use. This removal volume was down 3% from the previous year and up 9% from the five-year November average. In January-November, 58.0 million cubic metres of roundwood were harvested for use by the forest industries. This removal volume was down 3% from the previous year and up 1% from the five-year average.

  • In November 2022, a total of 6.1 million cubic metres of roundwood was harvested for industrial use. This removal volume was down 3% from the previous year and up 9% from the five-year November average.
  • Sawlogs accounted for 3.1 million m³ and pulpwood for 3.0 million m³ of the industrial roundwood removal. Compared with the average in November in the previous five years, sawlog removals were 11% and pulpwood removals were 6% higher.
  • Industrial roundwood removals from non-industrial private forests were 4.9 million cubic metres.
  • The felling volume in forest industry companies’ forests and state-owned forests was 1.2 million cubic metres.
  • Energywood removals totalled 495,000 cubic metres, of which delimbed stems and whole-trees made up 349,000 cubic metres.
  • In January-November, 58.0 million cubic metres of roundwood were harvested for use by the forest industries. This removal volume was down 3% from the previous year and up 1% from the five-year average. Compared with the average in the previous five years, sawlog removals were higher 8% and pulpwood removals 5% lower.
