Volumes and prices in roundwood trade 2015

  • In 2015, the forest industries procured 32.85 million cubic metres roundwood from private forests. The roundwood sales volumes decreased by 3% compared with 2014. The amount of logs was 14.49 million cubic metres (down 6% from the previous year). The amount of pulpwood was 17.18 million cubic metres (almost no change from the previous year).
  • The share of standing sales was 27.16 million cubic metres (-2% from a year earlier), and the share of delivery sales 5.40 million cubic metres (-9% from a year earlier).
  • In 2015, the price paid in standing sales for pine logs was EUR 54.4 per cubic metre,  while spruce logs fetched EUR 54.5. The stumpage price of pine pulpwood was EUR 15.7 per cubic metre, and the price of spruce pulpwood was EUR 16.9 per cubic metre.
