Utilised Agricultural Area 2022

In 2022, the area under cereals in Finland will be around one million hectares. The forage area was about 800 000 ha and the fallow area about 200 000 ha. The total area under cultivation on 43 300 farms is about 2.27 million hectares. In 2022, the area under food and fodder peas reached a record high of more than 34 000 ha. The area under peas was thus as large as the area under rape and larger than the area under potatoes.
