Producer prices for fish species with catch quotas, 1st quarter 2023

During the first quarter of 2023, the producer prices of Baltic herring and sprat increased compared to the first quarter of 2022. Producer prices of industrial Baltic herring and sprat increased by 32 %. The producer price of Baltic herring intended for human consumption increased by 10 %.

• The producer price of Baltic herring was EUR 0.29 per kg.
• The producer price of Baltic herring intended for human consumption was EUR 0.45 per kg.
• The producer price of industrial Baltic herring used as feed was EUR 0.25 per kg.
• The producer price of sprat was EUR 0.25 per kg.
