- The number of cattle at start of December was 903,400. The number of dairy cows was 282,200.
- The number of suckler cows and calves increased, whereas that cows, heifers and bulls decreased.
- The number of pigs increased from the previous year to about 1.24 million pigs.
- The number of sows decreased by 2% from previous year.
