- The number of cattle at start of December was 907,400. The number of dairy cows was 282,900.
- The number of dairy cows, suckler cows, calves and bulls increased, whereas that heifers decreased.
- The number of pigs decreased from the previous year to about 1.22 million pigs.
- The number of sows decreased by 3% from previous year.
