- The total number of bovine animals was 902,700 at 1 December 2011.
- The number of dairy cows decreased by 1% and number of suckler cows increased by 1%.
- The number of pigs went down from the previous year to about 1.29 million pigs.
- The number of sows decreased by 8 per cent during the year.
