Number of bovine animals, 1 December 2022

• The number of cattle at start of December was 822,000 which is one percent less than a year ago. The number of suckler cows and bulls increased, whereas that cows, heifers and cattle under 1 year decreased.
• The number of dairy cows was 243,200 which is two percent less than a year ago.
• The number of suckler cows was 63,100

The number of pig on 1^st. December will be released later in the spring.
