Milk and Milk Product Statistics, 9/2024 (provisional)

Milk production in January-September was one per cent lower than in the same period a year ago. In September, production was just over 165 million litres.

The production of liquid dairy products and cheese decreased. Butter production was almost unchanged.

Compared to the previous year in January-September 2024:

  • Buttermilk -3%
  • Cream -4%
  • Sour cream products - 3%
  • Curd milk -1%
  • Yoghurts -3%
  • Other fresh products +1 %
• Butter production: 0%
• Cheese production: -4%

Compared to the same time last year in September 2024:

• Cheese stocks: -10%
• Butter stocks: -29%
