Changes and corrections to milk and milkproducts statistics

This page shows the changes to the statistics from 2020 onwards and the revisions from January 2022 onwards, such as mergers of statistics and name changes. A correction is a revision to the content of a statistical release made after this release date. Major revisions will also be published in an additional release.

Received milk volume, fat and protein content of milk in March have been revised. 

Received milk volume: Corrected figure 184 631 009 liters, previous published 187 071 659 liters.

Fat content: Corrected figure 4,50 %, previous published 4,44 %

Protein content: Corrected figure 3,59 %, previous publishes 3,54 %

There was an error in the number of milk producers in June, corrected figure 4 018 (the incorrect figure was 3 943)

Yoghurts and other fresh products have been corrected. Yoghurts contained a product that was included in other fresh products

Change in statistics 25.2.2021

Milk and milkproducts statistics

Milk production by area was merged into the milk and milk products statistics (OSF, ESS) on 25.2.2021. Milk production by area was discontinued as a separate statistic.

Rationale: Uniform practice, monthly and annual statistics as one statistic.
