Energy consumption of agriculture and horticulture 2013

  • Agricultural and horticultural production consumed a total of 10,030 GWh of energy in 2013. The overall consumption was roughly at the same level as in 2010.
  • The most significant individual energy sources were motor fuel oil (2,304 GWh), wood chips (3,061 GWh) and electricity (1,509 GWh).
  • Consumption of heavy and light fuel oil decreased the most.
  • The percentage of renewable energy increased slightly.
