Egg Production Statistics, Q4 and year 2022

In 2022, just over 76 million kilos of eggs were produced, which is just under 2% less than in previous year.

• Production of A-class barn eggs increased by 25%, organic eggs by 14% and free range eggs by 3%. The production of eggs from enriched cages declined by 30%.

• In 2022, 55% were barn eggs, 33% eggs from enriched cages, 8% organic eggs and 3% free range eggs.
