Egg Production Statistics, Q1 2023

In January-March, just over 19 million kilos of eggs were produced, which is 3% less than in the same period last year.

• Production of barn eggs (+21%) and free range eggs (+16%) increased. The production of eggs from enriched cages (-37%) and organic eggs (-11%) declined.

• 65% were barn eggs, 24% eggs from enriched cages, 7% organic eggs and 4% free range eggs.
