Egg Production Statistics, Q3 2009

- During July–September, egg production fell by 10% on the corresponding period of 2008.
- 39.4 million kilos of eggs were produced during January–September, which is 9% less than during the corresponding period of 2008.
- Compared to last year, egg production during January–September rose in barn-type hen houses (+11%) and on organic poultry farms (+26%), but decreased in hen houses with battery cages (–14%).
