  • 16.1 million kilos of eggs were produced during January–March, which is 6% more than during the corresponding period of 2010.
  • Compared to last year, egg production rose in barn-type hen houses (+16%) and in hen houses with battery cages (+3%), but decreased on organic poultry farms (–14%).
