  • 2009 was the third consecutive good harvest year – a grain harvest of 4.3 billion kilos.
  • Record-breaking quantities of barley and wheat were harvested.
  • Oat and rye yields declined.
  • The rape and turnip rape harvest yielded 140 million kilos – a rise of almost 60%.
  • The potato harvest yielded 731 million kilos – a rise of 7%.
