Organic crop in 2018

The total organic cereals harvest for 2018 – 87,000 tons – was 9% lower than in 2017, which accounts for 3.2 per cent of the total cereals harvest in Finland.

• The production of oats decreased by 13,000 tons to 46,000 tons (-22%).
• The production of wheat decreased by 1,000 tons to 10,000 tons (-10%).
• The production of barley increased to 12,000 tons (+11%).
• The production of rye decreased to 4,000 tons (-28%).
